ORIGINAL PAINTINGS ON CANVAS/PANEL:

> Handle the artwork by the frame and avoid touching the face of the canvas/panel.

> Ensure your hands are clean or wear cotton gloves, as skin oils can damage the artwork.

> Great care needs to be taken when handling artworks on canvas or panel. Only handle one artwork at a time. Large canvases and panels should be moved by two or more people. Remove any accessories such as watches or jewellery that could scratch or dent the paint surface. Carry the painting with two hands from the sides of the frame or stretcher bars.

> Keep the artwork away from direct sunlight, as it can fade the vibrancy of the pigments over time.

> Protect the painting from water damage, as this will weaken the adhesion of the paint layers and eventually cause paint loss.

> Keep the painting away from heat sources, as heat dries out the material of the painting, speeding up the process of natural ageing. Heat sources can also soften paint, causing dirt and debris to be trapped in the softened paint and varnish.

> Avoid hanging the artwork in places of high or fluctuating humidity. High humidity promotes the growth of mould, and fluctuating humidity can cause the wooden stretcher bars and panels to warp over time.

> Hang the painting on a wall that has a stud where you can securely anchor the wall hooks. All the mechanical items - picture hooks, screw-eyes, cords and wires - even if they are the best quality, should be periodically checked. Checking periodically will keep your painting safe from falling and being damaged.

> Artworks and prints on canvas or panels come ready to hang on their own. Professional floater frames are optional.

Original artworks are shipped with insurance via professional courier. Tracking information is provided to you once your order has been dispatched.

DISPATCH TURNAROUND

Original Artworks: Please allow 1-2 weeks for Megan to package and dispatch original artworks, as they take a considerable amount of time and care to prepare for safe shipping.

Giclée Fine Art Paper Prints and Canvas Prints: These are made to order and take 3-5 weeks to print and package for dispatch.

DUTIES + TAXES

Megan’s studio is operated in Sydney, Australia and is not liable for import fees on any products purchased. This includes but is not limited to the commissioning of a custom piece, original artworks, and fine art prints.
 
It is your responsibility to pay any duties, value added tax or other similar charges. If you refuse to pay these additional amounts, your delivery will be returned to us. Provided that the product is in its original condition, we will refund you the cost of your purchase (minus the costs of shipping to and from your country).

Items are declared at purchase value for exporting and under no circumstance will documents be falsified.

UNCOLLECTED PARCELS

We are unable to ship your artwork again for free if your parcel was uncollected from your local post office, the address was incorrect or customs and/or import duties were not paid. Cost of re-shipping varies from country to country.

REFUND POLICY

LIABILITY

Once the artworks or prints are in possession of the customer, we will not take liability for any damage that occurs to them. We will not refund, exchange, replace, or compensate by any means for damage of products within the care of the customers.

All product descriptions are clear and concise, with all information easily accessible. It is not our duty to compensate customers who didn’t read the provided information before purchasing. This applies to any and all public pages within www.meganallard.com.

The product photos represent the artworks true to their colours in natural daylight. Keep in mind colours may appear different if your device’s colour calibrations are different, your device display is yellowed for night mode, or if you are viewing the artwork under artificial lights or any lighting conditions other than natural daylight.

RETURN POLICY

Great care is taken to carefully package all original artworks, canvas prints, and giclée paper prints to be safely shipped to you. Megan uses the highest quality art and print materials to ensure your artwork will bring you joy for many years to come. Please see our return policies for each product type below. We honour a 30 day return policy on eligible products. Your product must be in the same condition you received it to be eligible for return.

Original Artworks and Canvas Prints (not eligible)

All original artwork and canvas print sales are final. This is due to the substantial time and cost Megan pays for professional artwork packaging and insured shipping via professional couriers to your home. Please review the ARTWORK CARE instructions for information about how to properly care for your original artworks and canvas prints.

Gift Vouchers (not eligible)

Gift vouchers are a digital product and therefore are non-refundable.

We do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for change of mind purchases.
